Menopause Morning Shake

Menopause Morning Shake

Put a spring into your day with this delicious shake – Rich in antioxidants, calcium and hormone balancing Maca root.


½ cup rolled oats
2 bananas
½ cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
2 tsp. FSA  (see foot note)
1 cup milk (or non-dairy milk such as rice, oat, almond etc)
1 cup low fat plain Greek style yoghurt
2 tsp. honey
1 tsp. Maca root
Ice cubes (optional)


Place all ingredients into blender and mix until smooth



Flaxseed, Sunflower Seeds and Almonds.

But more importantly, it is the cleanser and filter of the bloodstream, and breaks down toxic wastes so that they can be expelled from the body. The liver also plays a significant role in hormonal imbalances because the liver breaks down or metabolises the hormones once they have done their work in the body.  So we want our livers to be working at their best if we want our bodies to be happy.
FSA is a really easy way to help cleanse and detoxify the liver, by supplying it with easily digestible nutrients. But FSA is also a fabulously versatile ingredient for enhancing the nutritional density and flavour of many of your favourite foods.


  • 3 cups raw linseeds / flaxseeds
  • 2 cups raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  1. Grind in a food processor, coffee grinder or spice grinder (not being used for coffee or spices) into a fine meal.
  2. Store in a dark glass airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 months.
