PH Balance

PH is the abbreviation for ‘Power of Hydrogen’ and measures the acidity and alkalinity of a solution.

Your body is designed to be slightly alkaline at a PH of 7.36 and it will do anything it has to in order to maintain this balance.

Most of us tend to eat and drink more acidic foods than we should, and anything that makes the blood acidic will leach calcium from the bones to neutralise the acids. Animal protein and some dairy products will actually leach more calcium than gets absorbed, due to their high levels of acidity in the body, which is the last thing a woman need when she is going through menopause.

A diet rich in vegetables will help keep your body’s alkaline/acid balance at the right levels.
